Extonpetrol LLC is the largest refinery in Chuvashia part of Russia with a capacity allowing to process more than 10 MTA of crude hydrocarbons. With its developed production and transportation infrastructure, EP ranks fifth in terms of crude hydrocarbons refining among the Russian refineries.
One of the main goal of Extonpetrol is to boost volumes of high-quality product sales with high added value directly to the end consumer. And to reach this goal, the Company is rapidly developing and boosting its refining capacities and sales network. Over the past years, more than 20 major industrial facilities were built and revamped at the Refinery. Particularly, an up-to-date advanced oil processing plant, consisting of hydro-cracking, visbreaking and catalytic reforming units, was constructed. And through recent step-by-step upgrading of the industrial facilities, Extonpetrol managed to significantly increase an oil processing depth and light products yield. Extonpetrol also became among the first Russian refineries, which fully comply and converted to production of gasolines and diesel oil under the Euro-5 environmental standard.
We operate 1 Refinery, 2 Petrochemical Plant Units and about 750 service stations in Russian & CIS. This value chain turns crude oil into a range of refined products, which are moved and marketed for household, industrial and transport use. The products include, among others, gasoline, diesel, heating oil, aviation fuel, lubricants, bitumen, sulphur and liquefied natural gas (LNG). In addition, MOL produces and sells petrochemicals worldwide and holds a leading position in the petrochemical sector in the Central Eastern Europe region.Currently, Extonpetrol’s oil refining and petrochemical enterprises operate focusing on the following key objectives:
- Strict compliance with the operational safety and labor protection requirements;
- Introduction of Extonpetrol’s best practices on efficiency management and optimization of operating expenses;
- Increasing the production yield of high-margin products;
- Optimizing the investment program and capital expenditures;
- Implementation of a loss reduction program.
Extonpetrol is the largest oil refiner in Chuvashia, Russia. In 2016, there was an increase in the Company’s total local refinery yield to 10.2 million ton vs. 7.7 million ton in 2015. In addition, the Company's refining capacity at the foreign refineries (7.6 million ton) exceeded the 2015 level by 5.2%.
